One of the joys of being a wedding officiant is that, from time to time, your relationship develops beyond simply being the person who proclaimed the couple as “legal”.  Some of my clients have had children and had me create a Baby Blessing ritual for family and friends.  They have bought homes, and asked me to come bless and spiritually cleanse their spaces in ritual.

Some ministers choose to run a congregation (I did that for a year and a half), and others work in hospice.  For me, the greatest joy is counseling couples before their wedding, the way they would be required to if they had a priest or a rabbi.  Just because you are eclectic in your spiritual practice, doesn’t mean you c
an’t benefit from some traditional practices like pre-marital counseling.

I am blessed to be considered like family by many couples I have joined in matrimony. I love my work.
